UPSC row: English marks not to be included, says govt

News : English skills scratched out of UPSC merit score : NEW DELHI: Giving in to sustained pressure from Hindi belt parties on the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) pattern, the government on Monday announced that marks for 8-9 English comprehension questions in Paper II of prelims exam would not be counted for gradation and merit. However, the CSAT format stays and the August 24 prelims exam will be held as per schedule.
