East Central Railway Recruitment in Sports Quota for 56 Posts 2015
East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur invites applications from the eligible and outstanding sportspersons for recruitment of following posts for filling up of 56 vacancies in all the 5-Divisions (i.e. Dhanbad, Danapur, Mughalsarai, Sonepur and Samastipur) against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) 2015-2016. The closing date for receipt of applications is 8th December 2015.

Sports Discipline wise Vacancies:
Requirement of Players in HQ/ECR, Hajipur:
Requirement of Players in Grade Pay ₹ 1800 in all the 05-Divisions of East Central Railway:
Age Limit: Between 18 and 25 Years as on 01/01/2016. No Age Relaxation.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
In GP ₹ 1800 - Matriculation or ITI or equivalent or higher education In G.P- Rs. 1900/2000- 12th Pass or equivalent or higher education.
In GP ₹ 2400- Intermediate in Science with Maths & Physics (If recruited in Technician Grade) In G.P- Rs. 2800- Graduation or equivalent.
Minimum norms for recruitment of sports persons in Group 'C' category: International Championships/Events are categorized as under:-
Category- A - Olympic Games (Senior Category)
Category- B - World Cup (Junior/Senior Category),
World Championship (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Games (Senior Category) Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)
Category- C - Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category) USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category)
Sports Achievement:
For the post in PB-1 (5200-20200), & G.P- Rs. 2400/2800 -> Represented the country in Olympic Games (category-A) (OR) At least 3rd position in any of the Category- B Championship/events.
For the post in PB-1 (5200-20200), & G.P- Rs. 1900/2000 -> Represented the country in any of the Category- B Championship/events. (OR) At least 3rd position in any of the Category- C Championship/events. (OR) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/ Junior National Championship (OR) At least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association. (OR) At least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of
Association of Indian Universities. (OR) 1st positon in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
For the post PB-1 (5200-20200), & G.P. Rs. 1800 -> Represented the country in any of the Category-C Championship / events. (OR) At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category). (OR) Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except on Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championships (OR) At least 3rd position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the State.
Examination Fee: Indian Postal Order of ₹ 100/- for General and OBC; No fee for All Female Candidates, SC / ST, Minority (Muslims,Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) and Economically Backward Class candidates.
Selection Process: Selection will be conducted through TRIAL and INTERVIEW
How to Apply: Eligible candidates should be neatly typed or hand written either in English or Hindi on a A-4 size paper and should be filled in own hand writing. One passport size photograph should be pasted at the specific space on the application form duly signed on the top by the candidate.
