Posts : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications are invited from Indian Citizens, for positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Two posts) to work in the research project entitled “POMACEA-Affordable technology for mitigation of membrane (bio)fouling through optimization of pretreatment and cleaning methods” under DBT- INNO-INDIGO joint call
Essential qualifications: Post Graduate degree in Chemistry/ Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Life Science with NET JRF/ LS, or B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology with GATE or equivalent qualification, or M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology.
Fellowship Rs. 25000/- p.m. + 20% HRA
Age : The maximum age limit is 28 years as on the date of interview.
Age relaxation will be given as per CSIR/GoI instructions
General Conditions:-
The project is a collaborative work. The other partners involved are
- CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical technology, Hyderabad
- University of Porto, Porto, Portugal
- The Institute for Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering-(ICTV at the Technische Universität Braunschweig (TUBS), Germany
- The Department of Drinking Water Engineering and Technology, Riga Technical University (RTU), Latvia
The candidates have to work on membrane preparation, characterization and their performance evaluation in water purification application. Membrane biofouling, water pretreatment and fouling mitigation will be the prime area of study. The final goal of the work is to install community level membrane based water purification plants to implement the outcome of the research. The study area covers different places in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
Initially the selection is for one year and may be extended based on the candidate’s performance. Interested candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview along with their one page Curriculum Vitae and original certificates as proof of their age and qualification on 20th May, 2016, 9.30 AM at CSIR- Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Gijubhai Badheka Marg, Bhavnagar-364002, Gujarat. Selected candidates will have to join duty within 30 days of issue of appointment order. The above positions are purely temporary and do not entitle the appointee to any claim, implicit or explicit for any permanent position in CSIR-CSMCRI.
