- Research Associate Level - I: 1 Posts
- Qualification : PhD Botany / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Biological Sciences along with one publication in SCI journal; prior knowledge in bio-processing of seaweed biomass will be given preference.
- Fellowship : Rs 36,000/- + HRA
- Job description : The selected candidate will have to work on collection of seaweed, processing of biomass, pilot plant extraction and membrane separation of constituents.
- Age limit : 35 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).
- Project Assistants Level - I: 2 Posts
- Qualification : B.Sc. in Biochemistry / Chemistry / Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 55% marks.
- Fellowship : Rs.15,000/- (Consolidated)

Marine Biotechnology and Ecology Division of CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Gujarat is actively engaged in multidisciplinary research in frontier areas of seaweed biology, biotechnology, cultivation and value addition of resources. The seaweed group has pioneered seaweed farming technologies in the country. It has also commercialized many cultivation technologies impacting the social up-liftment of coastal communities. We are looking for young, talented & motivated persons to work as Research Associate (1 post) and PA-I (2 posts) for our in-house project entitled “A consolidated biomass process for integrated production of multiple products from fresh marine macroalgae”.
