News : Gujarat increases waiting list criteria for Class III posts

Gujarat chief minister Vijaybhai Rupani on the first day of taking charge announced important changes in rules for the youth to get better opportunity in waiting list of government jobs in Class III category during his first cabinet meeting.

According to the announcement made by the cabinet, the state government has decided to double the current waiting list of recruitment from 10 per cent to 20 per cent on direct recruitment for Class III posts.

Following this announcement, from now if any employee leaves job or resigns due to any reasons within a year after joining, then candidates can be selected from waiting list for these vacant jobs. Candidates will be selected from same category, from which employee has resigned.

Existing ratio of 10% waiting list in class-3 direct recruitment has been scaled up to 20%. With this, if direct recruited employee leaves the job within one year for any reason, the vacant seat will be allowed to be filled through waiting list of candidates of same category. Implementation of this decision will be done with immediate effect.
