Educational Qualification :
(1) A degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of any of the University established
or incorporated by or under the Central or state Act in India, or any other educational institution
recognised as such or declared to be a deemed as University under section 3 of the University
Grants Commission Act,1956 (3 of 1956) or possess any other qualifications specified in first or
second schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956. And
(2) A Post Graduate Diploma in Orthopaedics / Ophthalmic of the Universities established or incorporated by
or under the Central or state Act in India; or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the
Medical Council of India and have experience of two years in Orthopaedics / Ophthalmic Subject in
Government Hospital or owned managed hospital which has been registered with local authority
or controlled by the Non-Government Organisation Hospital or Trust Hospital. OR
(3). M.S (Orthopaedics / Ophthalmic) of the University established or incorporated by or under the Central or
State Act in India; or possess an equivalent post graduate qualifications recognised by the Medical
Council of India.
(4) The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services
classification and Recruitment (General) Rules.1967 as amended from time to time.
(5). Adequate knowledge of Gujarati and/ or Hindi.
Note:-The Candidate required to get himself registered under the Gujarat Medical Council Act,
1967 or any other Corresponding law for the time being in force at the time of his application for
the direct selection if he is not so registered .
Age Limit : Not more than 45 years. (Including Age Relaxation of five years as par GAD
Pay:- Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100/- Plus Grade pay Rs.6600/-
