Applications are invited from eligible candidates residing within Kolkata and Bidhan Nagar Municipal Corporation limits for preparing a panel to fill up 2 (two) posts (one unreserved and one reserved for Other Backward Classes*) of Medical Consultant (MC) on contract basis, with fixed hourly remuneration for dispensaries of Reserve Bank of India at its (i) Main Office Premises at 15, N S Road, Kolkata-700 001 & Staff Quarters located at Salt Lake and (ii) Staff Quarters located at Dum Dum, Kolkata, so as to reach the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department, Recruitment Section, 15, Netaji Subhas Road, Kolkata – 700 001 on or before 5.00 PM November 14, 2016.
* Backlog Vacancy
i. Applicant should possess MBBS degree of any university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine.
ii. Applicants having post graduate degree in General Medicine can also apply.
iii. The Applicant should have a minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience in any hospital or as Medical Practitioner.
iv. The remuneration of the Medical Consultant on contract basis will be fixed with reference to the actual duty hours performed and will be all inclusive.
v. The Contract for engagement will be initially for a period of three years subject to review every year, which can be extended on such terms and conditions which are mutually agreeable to both the parties.
vi. The rate of remuneration and the duty hours is tabulated below:

vii. The Reserve Bank of India reserves the right to review the rate of remuneration from time to time and alter the duty hours and location of the dispensary at its discretion in case it becomes expedient to suit administrative and operative requirements.

Selection Procedure:
ix. The Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata will be conducting an interview for selection of panel (to engage 2 (two) – one unreserved and one reserved for Other Backward Classes*) of Medical Consultant (MC) on contract basis, with fixed hourly remuneration.
x. Selection will be made through interview of eligible candidates. The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards etc. in order to limit the number of candidates to be called for interview. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final. The Bank will not entertain any correspondence with the applicants who have not been called for the interview.
xi. The shortlisted applicant/s after the interview will be subjected to medical tests as per prescribed norms before engagement as Medical Consultant (MC).
xii. Candidates selected for the post will be appointed subject to their being found medically fit and acceptance of Terms and Conditions as per Annex – I and Code of Conduct as per Annex – II.
xiii. The selected applicant has to sign an agreement for Contract with the Bank before engagement as Medical Consultant (on contract basis) with fixed hourly remuneration.
