Posts: Research Assistant / Research Associate
Tasks would include:
a. Research and Documentation work Collection and collation of field data for the livestock and allied sectors in Uttarakhand
b. Report writing: S/he should be able to assist in report writing, consolidation and analysis of data collected under the guidance of the Professors.
Educational Qualification: The applicants for Research Assistant position should hold a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Management or Social Sciences. The applicants for Research Associate position should hold a minimum of Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Management (preferably Rural Management) or Social Sciences. Post-graduate Diploma in Management is also acceptable. Good communication skill (oral and written) in English and Hindi is a must. Candidates with higher educational qualifications and relevant field experience would be preferred. The position involves much travel to Uttarakhand from time to time. Hence, willingness to travel extensively and work in rural areas with empathy for rural India and entrepreneurs is required.
Remuneration: Appointments will be made purely on contract basis for a period of 3 - 6 months with a remuneration in the range of Rs.20,000/- to Rs.25,000 per month for Research Assistant and Rs.25,000/- to Rs.35,000/- per month for Research Associate on consolidated basis. Depending on qualification, aptitude and experience the candidate shall be offered the position of Research Assistant or Research Associate.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on an interview.
