Applications on plain paper with complete bio-data along with the photocopies of mark sheets and other supporting documents are invited for ONE post of PROJECT FELLOW (purely temporary) to work in the UGC sponsored Major Research Project entitled, “Evaluation of biosafe products as an alternate strategy to improve the postharvest quality and shelf life of some perishable horticultural produce”.

Educational Qualification: Second class M. Sc. Degree in Botany / Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Biosciences/subject with a minimum of 55% marks for general category or 50% in case of SC / ST / PH).
Fellowship: Project Fellow may be appointed with a consolidated fellowship of
i) NET/GATE qualified - Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 18, 000/- p.m. for the third year.
ii) Non-GATE/Non-NET - Rs. 14,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for the third year.
Duration: This position is purely temporary and it is Up to 30 – 06- 2018 or co-terminus with the project.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on an interview.
How to Apply: Applications stating the date of birth, qualifications, experience and the postal address, along with photocopies of mark-sheets and certificates should reach the Principal Investigator on or before 20th November 2017. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview to be held on 26th November 2017 in the Department of Biosciences, Vadtal Raod, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar at 11.00 a.m.
