Project title: Tectonic and climatic control on sediment routing in the NW Himalaya since late Quaternary
Principal investigator: Dr Saptarshi Dey
Duration: 1 year (subjected to an extension after evaluation at the end of the stipulated duration).
Start date: 1st September, 2018.
Place: IIT Gandhinagar, Palaj campus, Gandhinagar -382355, Gujarat, India.
Stipendium/ salary: 25,000 INR/month + HRA/ hostel accommodation as per norms.
Study area: Himachal Pradesh and Jammu area, India.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Earth Science or any related discipline (NET/GATE qualified).
Skills required: A sound knowledge in GIS, MATLAB/ R and designing. Must be acquainted with field geology.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on an interview.
