Centre for Advancing and Launching Enterprises (CrAdLE) is a Technology Business Incubator hosted by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad andcatalyzedand supported by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. CrAdLE aims to incubate startups in the areas of Manufacturing, Renewable Energy (clean and green energy), Healthcare and Food/Agribusiness.
CrAdLE invites applications for the following positions:-
a) Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  • Location : Ahmedabad (EDII Campus)
  • Qualification &Experience:-
    • Master's Degree(preferably in engineering )/MBA with background of Science and/or technology
    • The candidates should possess about 8-10 years' experience at a Senior Level in the management of technology-based business incubators.
    • Management experience in industry or in the public sector would be an added advantage.

  • Job Responsibilities:-
    • Develop strategy and business plan that clearly identifies with CrAdLE's mission and objectives.
    • Manage overall operations and resources of the company
    • Act as main communication between the Governing Body and Management.
    • Build network of funding agencies for the benefit of entrepreneurs.
    • Should have deep knowledge of the Center sponsors in the respective state and supporting agencies.
    • Build and manage a team in a sustainable and growth oriented manner in terms of increasing the profile, diversity and competence of incubated start-up ventures.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the incubation centre
    • Attract funding through different means like grants, etc.
    • Administer the earnings and expenses related to the operations and expansion of the centre under the directions of Governing Body.
    • Complywith all regulatory requirements and make strategic decisions
    • Work closely with the students and faculty at EDII to help them steer technologies towards commercialization, by mentoring them and helping them to set up start-up ventures.
b) Manager, Incubation @ CrAdLE
  • Location : Ahmedabad (EDII Campus)
  • Qualification &Experience:-
    • Master’s Degree/MBA with background of Science and/or technology
    • The candidates should possess about 3-5 years’ experience of working with entrepreneurs, start-ups, learning/tinkering labs, and incubator or incubation consultancy.
    • Management experience in industry or in the public sector would be an added advantage.
  • Competencies:-
    • Research
    • Written and spoken communication skills
    • Networking skills with start-ups, entrepreneurs, mentors, universities, research institutions, industry experts, associations, Chamber of Commerce & Industries, State & Central Government and Angel investors.
    • Event management experience
    • Should be conversant with Digital Marketing
    • Program management experience
  • Job Responsibilities:-
    • Promote, identify and evaluate incubatees for creativity, innovation, acceleration and investment.
    • Managing the screening process, follow-up mails, coordinate due-diligence process, coordinate communication and negotiations with start-ups, faculty anchors etc.
    • Liaison among various stakeholders
    • Design & manage Incubation and Acceleration programs/workshops 
    • Provide high-quality coaching and advisory support to entrepreneurs
    • Manage day- to- day interaction with Incubatees and undertake documentation work.
    • Develop, manage and run periodic events such as hackathons and business pitching contests. Also, events such as master class and chat programs.
    • Network and bring in potential mentors and resources to the incubator
    • Connect with the Startup Ecosystem consisting of Angels, VC's and entrepreneurs.
    • Guide & support start-ups for fundraising activity
Type of Employment: On Contractual basis.

  1. Qualification & Experience:

  2. Job Description: 
    • Responsible for networking and liaisoning with key stakeholders' viz. Funding agencies, Industries Associations, Developmental banks, Government departments, NGOs and Potential and Existing Entrepreneurs etc.
    • Responsible to implement /execute and monitor various activities/ assignments/ projects.
    • Provide assistance, guidance and handholding support to potential and existing entrepreneurs for setting up and development of small and micro enterprises, developing backward and forward linkages.
    • Develop project proposal, design and prepare documentation.
    • Manage and maintain records on timely submission of administrative and accounting documents.
    • Maintain day-to-day management of reports on the status of the assigned initiatives to the Head and Project Directors
    • Provide report regularly on the status of the assigned initiatives to the Head and Project Directors
    • Responsible to maintain all the relevant project documents & records systematically.
