Posts: Research Assistant- Gender Center
Educational Qualification: Candidates with a Master’s/PhD in Economics, Statistics, Operations Research and Applied Mathematics are encouraged to apply. Candidates with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and related disciplines, who are interested in PhD in Management and other applied domains, are also welcome.
Eligibility: Candidates must have a good knowledge of STATA or R. Ideally, candidates will have prior experience handling large-scale data sets. Understanding of econometric techniques and good language skills will be given preference. As the faculty members of the Gender Center plan to conduct surveys in the coming period, those with prior survey experience are especially also encouraged to apply.
Project Tenure: The initial appointment is for six months, with a possibility of extension up to one year, based on performance appraisal.
Selection Process: Selected applicants from the pool would be requested to submit a preliminary analysis of a curated data-set, along with the accompanying code (including estimation routines).
Location: Will be determined by the pandemic situation, but the option to work from home will be provided if necessary.
Compensation: The selected candidate will be offered a competitive monthly salary based on prior
qualifications and experience.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on an interview.
