Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) is a new post graduate university established by the Gujarat Biotechnology University Act 2018. In a unique collaboration with world-leading University of Edinburgh, GBU will place excellence and innovation at its core to deliver biotechnology solutions for society’s needs. GBU invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (Antimicrobial Resistance Research Project) & JRF/Project Assistant (Biohydrogen Research Project). GBU aims to launch MSc by Research and PhD programmes from June 2022.

Educational Qualification:
- Junior Research Fellow (Antimicrobial Resistance Research Project): Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc.
(Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry) With minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification: – NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.
– Candidates having experience of molecular biology and microbiology techniques are encouraged to apply.
– Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing. - JRF/Project Assistant (Biohydrogen Research Project): Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry) With minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification:
– CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.
– Candidates having experience of handling antibiotic resistant bacteria, microbial isolation, metagenomics, molecular biology techniques and detection of environmental contaminants in water and sediments through
LC-MS/GC-MS are encouraged to apply.
– Candidates will be required to travel for onsite sample collection and networking with other institutions.
